Dr. Maia Sepashvili – Invaited lecturer for participation in school activities
Maia Sepashvili, PhD, Researcher, in 1995 entered Tbilisi State University, Faculty of Biology, and graduated in 1999 with Bachelor Diploma. In 2000-2002, she was a Master student of the Plant Anatomy and Physiology Program of TSU, where she graduated with honors. Maia Sepashvili defended her PhD thesis in Molecular Biology in 2006. She began her research career in the same period at I.Beritashvili Institute of Physiology. From 2010 Maia Sepashvili is also Researcher at Institute of Chemical Biology of Ilia State University and teaches Bachelor and Master courses. Her research interests: biochemistry of CNS, mitochondrial bioenergetics. Maia Sepashvili is a member of Georgian Neuroscience Association, Georgian Biochemical Association and FEBS. She was awarded by FEBS and Georgian National Scientific Foundation Travel Fellowships, in 2009 was awarded by I.Beritashvili named honor stipend
