Prof.Elene Zhuravliova – The member of organizing committee
Elene Zhuravliova is Associate Professor of Biochemistry, Faculty of Natural Sciences and Medicine, Ilia State University, also Head of the Quality Assurance Service of this Faculty. She obtained her Bachelor Degree of Biology in Tbilisi State University in 1999, then in 2001 – Master Degree of Molecular and Cell Biology in the same University. Elene Zhuravliova defended PhD in Neurochemistry. From 2005 she worked in the Center of Experimental Biomedicine, from 2008 as Assistant Prof of Biochemistry and from 2013 as Associate Professor at Ilia State University. She researches signaling systems of neural tissue, bioenergetics and neurotoxic effect of different compounds, being an author of more than 30 research papers with h index 7. She is a member of Georgian Association of Biochemists and Georgian Neuroscience Association, American Chemical Association, International Brain Research Organization, International Society for Neurochemistry, Federation of European Biochemical Societies, Federation of European Neuroscience Societies. She is the scientific supervisor of PhD and Master students. She has undergone training of trainers in different years in terms of the use of technology in teaching and the specifics of distance learning (Austria, Barcelona, Leuven). She is a Certified Specialist of Medical Education (by AMEE). Has been conducting training on hybrid teaching methods and approaches since 2019.
