Prof. Nikoloz Oniani – The member of scientific committee
Nikoloz Oniani graduated from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University in 1978. In 1992 he obtained PhD degree in Biology (Human and Animal Physiology). In 2005-2010 he worked as a head of department of Neurobiology of Sleep-Wakefulness Cycle. In 2002 he has received a patent – “A Way for the Improvement of Human Mood and Quality of Life”, Georgian National Intellectual Property Center – SAKPATENTI. Since 2010 Nikoloz Oniani works at Ilia State University. Currently, he is Full Professor and Director of Research Center – Tengiz Oniani Lab. of Sleep-Wakefulness Cycle Study. Nikoloz Oniani is a highly qualified researcher engaged in sleep research more than 30 years. He completed various international and local research projects and participated at many international conferences. He has authored/co-authored several scientific publications in peer reviewed journals. His main research interests are focused on neurophysiological mechanisms of sleep-wakefulness cycle, sleep and memory.
