Prof. Tamar Basishvili – The member of scientific committee
Tamar Basishvili is Associate Professor at Ilia State University, Tbilisi, Georgia. She received MSci degree in Biology from the Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University in 1996. She earned PhD degree in Life Sciences (Neurosciences) from Ilia State University in 2012. She completed trainings in the Department of Biological Psychology, Radboud University Nijmegen, The Netherlands and in the Laboratory of Sleep, University Hospital of Geneva, Switzerland. In 2014, she received Fulbright Scholarship and worked at the VAGLAHS, Medical Research, University of California, Los Angeles, USA. In 2016 she received Swiss Government Excellence Postdoctoral Scholarship, and performed her Postdoctoral studies at Center for Chronobiology, Psychiatry Clincs, University of Basel. She has authored/co-authored several scientific publications in peer reviewed journals. Her scientific interests are focused on sleep neurobiology, sleep and stress, learning and memory, sleep disorders.
